Aesthetic Enhancements, the Rare and OEM way | E100 Corolla

Good day CTzens, now we will be tackling on the different OEM aesthetic enhancements available for the seventh gen Corolla. Unlike with the sixth gen Corolla where there is a ton of available rare parts for the interior. Seventh gen Corollas have a lot of variety in its exterior, like front and rear bumpers, rear garnishes, and the like.

For someone who gets easily bored with the exterior looks of their car, you can consider buying this car for show purposes as this model literally has 4 (or more) sets of exterior looks that one can experiment with. Consider having deep pockets as well as some are rare or hard to find.

Expect a number of pictures for you to imagine and appreciate.

For those folks who have this car, I hope this gives you an idea.

1. Front Bumpers

There are a lot of front bumpers that can be fitted in an E100 corolla, but I will be only showing 4 as these can be easily swapped without doing any modifications in the body, and are the common ones that you could see either locally or in the net.

The first one is called the World Class Bumper. This is the common front bumper for Corollas (at least sold in our local market). Some folks would just slap a yellow fog lamp that matches the curves of the holes and they’re done.

This is the bumper currently installed our car

Not convinced? Here are more interesting front bumpers

FX Front Bumper

BZ Touring Front Bumper

BZ Touring Front Bumper with Over Rider

These BZ Touring bumpers are the rare ones, but will give your corolla a unique look. Just look at those bumper lights

2. Rear Taillights and Garnishes

Now lets move on to the rear of the car. The first one is pretty basic, white and red tail lights with gray rear garnish. Pretty common for base model Corollas.

Here are more other rear lights

Red and White Tail lights and Garnish

Same as above, but with different rear garnish. Currently installed in our car and in my opinion, the best one for the corolla.

Red and Amber Tail light and Garnish

Same as the previous one, but with the number plate in between. In doing this conversion, you would need a new rear bumper and the rear garnish itself. In my opinion, If you are looking for a clean look, go for this one.

Sprinter Gen II Rear

Needs a little bit of work to fit, but will give your corolla a whole different look.

3. Interior Wooden Trims

Enough with the exterior stuff and lets hop in inside the car. This interior trim can be seen on the high end model of the Corolla, the GLi model. This minor piece can be hard to find, so be patient in looking for one as “a set”. This minor piece definitely gives a different look on your basic black plastic dashboard. Don’t forget the different switches if you are going to convert your corolla to a GLi one.

One DIY idea that came into my mind is buying a sticker with wood grain designs, lay some clear coat on it, and tadaah, your own wooden trims. I’ll be asking my dad’s permission if he will let me do this. Just be careful in removing the middle plastic pieces as their tabs can easily break.

Another rare interior piece are the door cards for manual windows with side pockets. Similar with the GLi door cards. This item is so rare that I can’t even find a decent picture of it, but I know, at least in my prior knowledge, that it exists.

Lastly, the Gauge Clusters

There are 3 types of Gauge Clusters that can be fitted in this car. The first one is a pretty common dash but some folks complain the absence of a tachometer in this panel. Overall, this is the simplest gauge cluster among the three.

Here are the other gauges

If you want one with a tachometer, go for this one. This one is for the car with an Automatic Transmission (the guide in the middle) but there are some without it. The guys in the facebook group that I am in run this in their cars and this cluster looks beautiful especially with LED bulbs.

Corolla SI Cluster

Not a straight swap but can be fitted with some minor modification and relocation of the connectors. One thing you will notice is it has a factory voltmeter in it. This cluster also comes with a black or white face. Take note, this is one rare item.

Fun Fact: In our country, these seventh gen corollas are commonly used as taxi cabs before. One car is sometimes used for 24 hours due to shifting of drivers.

Fun Fact 2: The sixth gen corolla is called the “smallbody” and the seventh gen is called the “big body”. Well its true, the seventh gen is larger then the previous one

Thank you for viewing this post and Have a Good Day CTzens

I would love to but I don’t know much about the E110. Still needs more research.

Well you have one, you can continue it if you want :)
