31 miles. That’s it. These are the only miles this stunning Delta HF Integrale has ever clocked. Before you become absolutely furious that someone would buy Lancia’s rally nutter for the road and never use it, consider this: the one journey it completed was from the dealer to the original owner, meaning it effectively has just delivery mileage on the clock. In a way then, this soon-to-be auctioned Lancia is brand new.

This ‘brand new’ car isn’t any old Delta, either: it’s the very special ‘Martini 5’ version of the Evoluzione. Just 400 of these were built (this one’s number 124) to celebrate Lancia’s fifth consecutive World Rally Championship constructors’ crown, and all finished in white with the iconic Martini stripes adorning the Delta’s boxy flanks. The interior is trimmed in Alcantara, and you get a set of special Martini Racing floor mats. Best take those muddy shoes off before getting in, then…

It has the same powerplant as the regular Integrale Evoluzione, which means a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot sending 210bhp to all four wheels. And that makes the relatively lightweight Delta Integrale quick by even today’s standards: 0-62mph takes just 5.7 seconds.

If you’re interested, now’s the time to give you the bad news: the estimate given by Silverstone Auctions - who will be auctioning the car on 21 or 22 February at its Race Retro Sale - is £90,000-110,000. Ouch.
