Can The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Beat An M3 And C63 S In A Drag Race?

Alfa's hottest Giulia takes on super saloon rivals from BMW and Mercedes-AMG in this drag race from the ladies and gents at Car Wow

If we were being picky, we’d rather like to see the C63 S represented by the saloon and not the coupe, to match the four-door BMW and Alfa. But since this particular two-door AMG belongs to the boss of Car Wow and is conspicuously branded, its appearance is understandable. And since we have some brake tests and a drifting competition thrown in too, we won’t be complaining.

Let the battle commence…

Funny you post this particular car, cause its probably the ugliest Alfa ever made along with the new Giulia. (I’ll show myself out before I get death threats)

It lastest the entire test. So at the very least it’s better than most Alfa’s released in this century.

I’m surprised the mercedes lost with those stickers adding at least an extra 100bhp…

That drag race… Cleary the Alfa starts first… Still the best looking car and the one I buy.

It might have jumped a bit, but the actual quarter mile numbers are done using gps technology, which it still was the fastest.

These cars are more evenly matched then i thought, eventhough the m3 is down 60hp from the alfa and merc it still almost keeps up with the alfa and suprisingly faster then the merc

The BMW and Mercedes are both underrated, and from experience the F80 makes nearly 500 hp at the crank.

I’d still have the M3, no matter what. The Alfa costs much more than M3, and you get .1 better 0-60. And is worse at braking.

The only reason i’d have it is because the interior is a lot better.

The Alfa does not cost “much more” than the BMW. It has a higher base price but that includes the auto gearbox. If you specify a dct on the BMW you are instantly over the price of the Giulia. The standard Giulia also comes much better equipped and the options are not as expensive.

I believe the carbon ceramics on the BMW cost almost €2000 more than they do on the Alfa. The m3 people actually buy will always cost much more than £59,000 because it is so poorly equipped.

I’m pretty sure the M3 is a V6 twin turbo, not a straight 6 twin turbo. Either ways is delicious.
