This Spectacular Jeep Cherokee Jump Was Worth The Painful Landing

You have to admire the commitment of this competitor as he leaps his Cherokee in the air at an off-road competition in Missouri

While we encourage you to watch all of this hardy off-road action - shot at the Rock & Roll Shootout in Sullivan, Missouri a few weeks ago - the main event comes at the 02:20 mark. Skip to that point, and you’ll see a jump of epic proportions.

This Spectacular Jeep Cherokee Jump Was Worth The Painful Landing

The landing looks like it was painful for both the driver and the Jeep Cherokee, with the latter left with a broken prop, annihilated suspension, damaged bodywork, a dismounted front left tyre and much more besides.

Was it worth it? We’d say so!

I might be wrong, but why were a few drivers going with an open diff? Wouldn’t locked or welded diffs be better for tackling the rocks?
