Want an Alpine A110 to take racing? Good news: you now have two cars to choose from. Following up the A110 Cup - which Alpine has created a one-make series around - we now have this A110 GT4.

The double wishbone suspension setup of the standard car has been retained, with the addition of race-spec springs and dampers. Beefier brakes have been supplied by Brembo, and the car now runs slick tyres. There’s a bigger wing at the back, a more aggressive splitter at the front, and a stripped-out interior with a racing bucket seat and a harness. Oh, and a fire extinguisher, should your race really go south.

It uses the same 1.8-litre turbocharged inline-four as the road car, only here, it’s been given “significant power upgrades” which haven’t been specified. We don’t have a power figure either, but Alpine has said that the A110 GT4’s power-to-weight ratio is 312bhp per tonne. Given that the standard, unstripped car tips the scales at 1080kg, that should give you a rough idea of the kind of boost the 242bhp stock engine has been given.

The car has been developed by French firm Signatech - Alpine’s “motorsport partner” - and will make its racing debut in 2019.
