Engine swaps are just a little too mainstream, aren’t they? At least that’s what this guy seems to think - he’s given his 1981 Honda Accord a stupid amount of power not by dropping a huge engine in, but by installing the drive unit from a Tesla Model S P85 at the rear.

It’s hooked up to the 16kW battery from a Chevrolet Volt, which the mad builder wants to “max out at 1000 amps for a few seconds.”

Naturally, such a giant motor in an old, light Honda - even offset by heavy batteries and a drive unit that weighs 240kg on its own - results in a seriously fast car. Already, the 0-60mph time has been measured at 2.7 seconds, and it’s set to go faster still.
