After losing both his legs in a horrific Formula 4 crash last year, it would have been perfectly understandable for Billy Monger to shy away from the massive media attention his story generated. But no: the brave young driver seems to have no qualms being the limelight, inspiring others with the tremendously positive attitude he shows toward the challenges of his life-changing injuries.

He was back behind the wheel of a car (specifically, a Fun Cup endurance racer) only a few months after his accident, attended the British Grand Prix at the invitation of Lewis Hamilton, and has announced his intentions to return to single-seater racing. Most recently, he’s been hooning around in an specially-adapted Jaguar F-Type with hand-operated brakes.

He spent a day with Mission Motorsport - a brilliant organisation that uses motorsport to aid the recovery of wounded veterans - being trained by legendary stunt driver Terry Grant. Monger seems as determined as ever to chase his racing dreams, and has no trouble throwing some smoky shapes in the shouty, V8-powered Jaguar.

Keep up the good work, Billy.
