If you love rallycross and the fire-breathing monsters of Group B rallying in the 1980s, you’re going to love this. Announced a couple of weeks ago, developers Slightly Mad Studios has now released a trailer showing off the eight new cars and two new circuits that make up the ‘Fun Pack’ DLC - the first of four planned expansions for Project Cars 2.

‘Fun Pack’ is a very appropriate name, given the content. You get two modern cars from the World Rallycross Championship, the Audi S1 and the Citroen DS3, as well as three Group B rally cars which also had a life in rallycross - the Ford RS200, Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, and Audi Sport Quattro S1.

There’s another bit of off-road muscle too with the inclusion of a Dakar-spec Ford Bronco, which should be a laugh on the two new rallycross circuits included in the pack, Brands Hatch and Barcelona.

If off-road fun isn’t your thing, the Fun Pack has you covered with the inclusion of Vaughn Gittin Jr’s drift-spec Ford Mustang and a 1966 Ford Mustang Trans-Am race car.

The pack is available to buy now, or as part of the season pass (if you have one). It looks like entertaining, and judging from the sounds in this trailer, they’ve nailed the glorious five-cylinder howl of the Quattro!

Sadly they cannot. Polyphony digital has acquired the exclusive rights to pikes peak. Soooo all I can say is get Gran Turismo Sport and hope it’s added.
