Lamborghini Urus Given A Virtual 'Performante' Treatment
Lamborghini’s angular, 2000kg+ Urus SUV is already quite a sight for the eyes to drink in. But what if you gave this 641bhp hulk of conspicuousness a Huracan Performante-inspired makeover? Thanks to CT’s favourite Internet renderer pro X-Tomi Design, we have our answer.
He’s given it the wheels and brakes from the uber Huracan, a chunkier front splitter, a lower ride height and - of course - a massive rear spoiler. It’s about as far from subtle as possible, and there’s something quite endearing about that.
Lamborghini is indeed cooking up an even more powerful version of the Urus, but it’ll be a rather different sort of vehicle to the one imagined here. It’ll be a plug-in hybrid, most likely using the 671bhp, 627lb ft powertrain from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. We suspect the version in the Urus will be cranked beyond 700bhp, and Lamborghini itself claims half a second will be lopped off the standard car’s 3.6 second 0-62mph time.
Just don’t expect lime green paint and lairy spoilers…
