Here's Your First Look At The 2018 Jeep Wrangler

If you were feeling impatient about the impending reveal of the new Jeep Wrangler, we have some good news: you won’t have to wait until the LA Auto Show to see the car after all.

While revealing a whole host of Mopar parts and accessories for the 2018 Wrangler, Jeep also showed a trio of images showing the new vehicle in all its glory. And…it’s unmistakably Wrangler-ish, isn’t it? There isn’t masses to separate it from the old one, which should go down nicely with Jeep purists.

Look closely though and you will see a few new details. It’s a little curvier in places, and that kink in the iconic slatted grille is a nice touch. Most importantly, you can clearly still take bits off if you want a more alfresco driving experience.

Powertrains and other technical details remain a mystery, but with the full reveal set to go down at the LA show on 29 November, we don’t have too much longer to wait before we learn more.

What do you think of the new Wrangler?

It’s coming.

They’ll need to stop production of the current one though, then update the plant where the Wrangler is made and then we’ll get the pickup.

To be quite honest, I love it. It both looks in its time, and looks recent, while keeping the original overall look. And the Rubicon 2-door version actually reminds me of the CJ5/CJ7, and it still looks refreshed and coherent in 2018. Designers either would hit the point, either would miss the design. And they scored. The Rubicon two-door actually looks like a off-road vehicle, and not like a slight amelioration of the base design, like the current generation does.

Like my father always told me, “You’re not driving a Jeep unless you’re driving a tent”. Really not a fan of the new Jeep, I know that in order to continue to sell in the modern market this is what the Wrangler has to become but I really do miss those old CJ7’s and the simplicity behind them.

I hate seeing stock jeeps and 4doors. I like the 2 door jeeps and fully customized. IMO if you want a 4door Jeep and just keep it stock then get a gran Cherokee
