Fancying bagging yourself one of those fancy new Kia Stinger GTs? We’ve good news: UK order books open today, ahead of an early 2018 debut on our shores.

The base 2.0-litre ‘GT-Line’ turbocharged petrol will set you back £31,995, while the range-topping, 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 ‘GT-S’ is £40,495. The latter car comes in at around £5000 less than the BMW 440i Gran Coupe and Audi S4.

The entry point of the range is still reasonably quick, with a 244bhp output making 0-60mph possible in 5.8 seconds. The 197bhp 2.2-litre diesel (price unknown at this point) puts out 197bhp meanwhile, completing the benchmark 0-60mph sprint in a more leisurely 7.3 seconds.

The GT-S - the one you want - puts out 365bhp, dispatches 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds, and tops out at 168mph. No 155mph electronic speed limiter shenanigans going on here.

GT-Line versions are decently equipped with a standard-fit 8.0-inch touchscreen sat nav system, a head-up display, a limited-slip differential and a whole bunch of clever safety systems. The 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel models can also be specced in ‘GT-Line S’ trim, adding features like a powered tailgate and a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The GT-S has all of the above, along with a few extras like electronically-controlled suspension and variable ratio steering.

US pricing for the Stinger GT was revealed last week, with the rear-wheel drive grand tourer costing from $32,795 - $39,895 on the other side of the pond.
