Bored of Mercedes-AMG Project One teasers? We have some good news: this should be the last one you see. Affalterbach’s F1-derived slice of hypercar madness is due to be revealed ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show later today, but in the meantime, we have this shot of the rear to salivate over.

Posted on Mercedes-AMG’s Facebook page, it shows the car being loaded into a truck for its journey to Frankfurt, and my, does it have an angry-looking rear. We get a good look at the rear lights, the meaty exhaust system and the vent-festooned rear deck.

An F1-derived V6 hyrid powertrain will give Project One over 1000bhp to play with, and a top speed in excess of 217mph. It’ll have an electric turbocharger, a trio of electric motors, and 11,000rpm redline and an idle speed of 4000rpm. Oh, and it’ll have yellow seatbelts, as helpfully revealed by Lewis Hamilton.

The car will be revealed in Frankfurt and online on 11 September at 19.30 CET.
