Here's A Fresh Look At The Mercedes-AMG Project One

The full debut of Mercedes-AMG’s crazed Projcet One hypercar is just a few weeks away, but for now, here’s a cheeky teaser image to whet your appetite.

The darkened picture doesn’t give much away, other than the car’s headlights and the rough shape of the front end. It also shows another angle of the car’s centrally-mounted intake, which will feed an F1-derived V6 engine.

It, along with a hybrid system inspired by - you guessed it - F1, will provide “over” 1000bhp, and a top speed “exceeding” 217mph.

All details should be available when Project One says its big hello at the Frankfurt Motorshow, although we do know there’ll be an electric turbocharger, a trio of electric motors, and an 11,000rpm redline for the dinky V6, which also idles at 4000rpm.
