If you’re a wannabe comic book villain, or you’re regularly tied up with netting in the back of a limo, the forthcoming Audi A8 might suit you immensely. As this teaser video shows, the latest Mercedes S-Class rival has a massaging panel built into the back of the front seat.

It’s only available on the long-wheelbase ‘L’ model. The system looks like it will have three different intensities, because sometimes only a vigorous foot massage will do.

If you’re a slick city executive with a to-do list as long as the wheelbase, Audi hopes that pampered feet will reduce the stresses of work and the outside world. It might well be just the thing needed in our stress-filled world, and maybe we can look forward to having foot massagers in a Renault Clio in 15 year’s time.
