Mercedes-AMG GT 'Black Series' Looks Monstrously Fast At The 'Ring

If you look at the Mercedes-AMG GT R with its active aero, 577bhp and general air of badassery and think “you know what, I want something more hardcore,” there might well be something wrong with you. But regardless of your state of mind, AMG has you covered.

Speaking to Topgear.com last year, AMG boss Tobias Moers confirmed such a car is indeed happening, and the angry vehicle you see undergoing testing at the Nurburgring in the footage above looks to be it.

Packing a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 instead of an N/A 6.2 it unsurprisingly doesn’t sound quite as good as the old SLS AMG Black Series - the GT Black’s kinda/sorta predecessor - but it does look stunningly quick out on the Nordschleife.
