We've Got This Gorgeous Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 AWD For 3 Months - What Do You Want To Know?

After making a call to Jaguar to ask for an extended loan of the F-Type, I was handed the keys to this very car for a few months. Is there anything you'd like to know/see?
We've Got This Gorgeous Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 AWD For 3 Months - What Do You Want To Know?

The Jaguar F-Type is one of my favourite new cars, and while I’ve said many times before that I’d never buy a new car, I’d make an exception with something like this. But because I don’t have upwards of £50,000 to spend on a new car, I did the next best thing by calling Jaguar UK and asking if they might loan me one for a few months.

Short story shorter, they agreed, and here we are; I am now the proud owner of this Ultra Blue F-Type S Coupe AWD British Design Edition with a few options thrown in, including a Fixed Panoramic Roof (£1280), Parking Pack (£515), Visibility Pack (£1100), MeridianTM Digital Surround Sound System - 770W (£1330), plus a few other bits. All in, this car is specced up to just over £80,000.

Because you’re probably wondering what the ‘British Design Edition’ bit adds to the car, you get a more aggressive body kit (the skirts are massive), 20-inch Cyclone 5 twin-spoke wheels, a Union Flag emblem on the grille and a switchable sports exhaust.

Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre, supercharged V6 with 375hp. That’s mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends drive to all four wheels. 0-62mph takes 5.1 seconds and it’s good for a top speed of 171mph (275kph).

So there’s a quick intro to the car you’ll be seeing a lot more of over the coming few weeks on video, the site and on Snapchat/Insta etc. I have some stuff planned already, but if there are any specifics you’d like to know, then hit me up in the comments below.

Until then, check out the video we shot a few years back of a RWD V6 Coupe. It’s the car that made me and many of you guys fall in love with the F-Type…

I would really like to know if you can pull nice big slides like in the rwd version. Because personally, I think that the awd variant just spoils the f type experience. This car isnt about traction, but about fun and foolishness on the road.

Since i own an F-Type R AWD i can tell you: it doesn’t spoil anything but makes it a lot more usable, especially in bad weather. You can pull more of its power anytime and still have your slides depending on how you configure your cars settings (ESP / Traction Control, Dynamic/Comfort/WinterAWD Settings etc.).
