Sharpen Your BMW Stereotypes As You Watch This Z4 Driver Cause A Huge Multi-Car Accident
Among the favourite BMW stereotypes are those that say drivers of the Munich brand’s cars don’t know how to use their indicators or mirrors. At least one of those has a stack of new ammunition thanks to this video.
The camera car sees the red Z4 join the traffic in front of it on the M60 motorway, otherwise known as the Manchester Ring Road. It slots into a gap normally, leaving a faster-moving lane that goes off in a different direction.
But after a minute – skip to 1:10 for the action, which then repeats – the driver decides they’ve had enough and want to try a different route, flipping their indicator on and pulling across back into the free-flowing lane… apparently without using their mirrors properly.
The resulting smash with a Citroen DS 3 is completely needless, and other cars also get caught up in the carnage. The DS is bounced right up in the air by the force of the blow, spinning off and hitting a van and an unseen car in the queue ahead.
Miraculously, the BMW isn’t spun around. It does take heavy damage to the right rear, though. What was the driver thinking?!

He used his blinker. only to turn off off when he actually started changing lanes….
I drive the UK motorways daily and you would not believe how many idiots think it’s okay to join the traffic at 40-50 mph (speed limit is 70 but almost everyone does at least 80). If I can join at 70 in a 95hp car, I’m sure everyone else can aswell.

Video clearly faked. BMW used signal.
From my experience, had that car not recorded the incident, everyone else would have carried on their merry way and it would have been blamed on the driver of the DS3 and speed they were travelling.

It looks like the DS3 could have been moving over lanes to the left which doesn’t make it not the bimmers fault but puts a bit more of it onto the DS3
or in trying to move to the right out of the bimmers way, it’s hard to tell

I wonder how much it cost to have the blinkers installed on the car? My e90 didn’t come with any that I know of. Sometimes I feel a little douchey just changing lanes, in my perfectly crafter German automobile without blinkers.
