Moronic Street Racer Causes Stupid Crash In Tunnel

Dashcam footage shows the moment a hapless street racer ran out of room in a tunnel in China, crashing into two cars in the process

Background information for this shocking dashcam footage is particularly thin on the ground. The video description vaguely mentions that it was shot somewhere in China (you know, the most populous country in the world and third largest by area), but doesn’t say when the crash happened.

What we can just about see from the potato-spec footage is the camera car attempting to race what looks like BMW 4-series, running out of room, and hitting two cars including what may or may not be a BMW X6. Like I said, potato-spec.

Fortunately, it looks like all parties involved are up and walking (and arguing) straight after the crash, having seemingly avoided serious injury.

Keep it on the track, folks…

Or the X6 accelerated because the driver probably thought he can keep up.
I don’t condone street racing, but I think both parties are at fault here

In my opinion the real idiot is the driver of the white car, which suddenly decides to floor the gas pedal without checking his back. I guess he never has the habit to occasionally check his mirrors while cruising in traffic and he never saw it coming when that gold-colored car happened to be right in front of him. Then he instantly decided to chase that “disrespectful driver” (for a road rage probably) and he still had no idea another car was coming right behind.
If you watch carefully, you will see at the beginning that the white car’s speed was allowing the footage car to easily manouver between two cars. Right after the footage car passed the white car, the driver hesitated to manouver and he honked to the white car (because the white car suddenly accelerated obviously). At that moment he could have hit the brakes hard and prevented the crash, but he just hoped that the white car would let him pass. The white car’s driver on the other hand; he was just at the beginning of his acceleration, he could have easily slowed down and let the other car passed, but his “rage monster mode” had once turned on. If he had just a little bit more brain, he could have easily calculated that the footage car has no more room to slow down before crashing the black car. I think he just ignored this fact or he intentionally made him crash the black car, and he was thinking he would just slip away while two cars were blowing up in his rear view mirror (which he never checks). Instead, he found himself facing the direction that he should have been checking at the first place.

Both cars in the wrong but the white car caused the accident to happen imo

The white car is partly to blame for accelerating instead of slowing down. The person who is really at fault though is the footage car. He just had to try and get in front of the white car. He had plenty of room to slow down himself, then get behind the white car and wait to pass the slower vehicle. But no, he HAD to get in front of that white car. As a result, he took the risk to pass, and paid the price.

Both cars are in the wrong for speeding as they were. The footage car is the one that caused the accident though.

you are right….the white car provoked the accident because at first he was driving pretty slow compared to the golden bmw and the camera car but his sudden acceleration is what caused the accident as the camera car wasn’t expecting that!!!

Come on… it’s 2017. Why are people still recording with potato cameras? HD dash cams aren’t that expensive any more. You can get a dash cam with good quality for fairly cheap now.

The golden car was most likely an M4. And this could also be a “my tuner will beat your sports car” sort of episode. I’ll only say that the M4 cleverly got away.
