How about stopping accelarating tests between petrol cars and electric cars? For a while now everybody knows electric cars have a lot of torque all the way… No surprices there.. Take them both to the track I’d say!

Yes, it’s a fair comparison.. $79,000 vs $110,000.
Also, they didn’t compare the P90D, they compared the 90D, which has less power and 4.4s 0-100..
It would also be more fair, if they took in mind that you’d save a lot of money with the Tesla.
They should have tested the P100D, $116,000. They would make up the $5000 in a year of GTR gas money. Also they took UK prices, which are high for the Tesla and low for the Nissan.
This is a very low blow.. They’re probably GTR fans..

Seems like quite a fair comparison to me. Similar prices and the Tesla even won some of the heats. As for the GTR’s running costs - battery replacement for a Tesla is astronomical. A battery for a lower model Nissan Leaf costs just over £5000. A tesla will probably be triple that if not more. Hell, BMW wanted €20,000 for the battery in an i3!

Then you have weather. As some Norwegian users have pointed out on CT, a Tesla in cold weather gets HORRIBLE mileage - equivalent to 5mpg.

Because if we put it at the edge the cover will end up pulling all the things on the table
