The Cost Of Replacing An Aston Martin's Windscreen Will Make You Weep

A used Aston Martin may be cheap to buy, but sure as hell not cheap to run, as demonstrated by the hideous cost of this windscreen replacement

Recently, motoring journalist and Jalopnik columnist Freddy ‘Tavarish’ Hernandez got his hands on the V8 Vantage owned and run by a certain Doug DeMuro. It chucked out some hilariously expensive bills during Doug’s ownership, and it looks to be doing the same with Tavarish, as seen by this windscreen repair bill, which weighed in well over $4000. Cripes.

Thank god it was covered under insurance…

Can anyone tell me what the cost to replace it in the UK would be? The cost has to be in transport from the UK to the US

There’s a reason windshields are expensive on modern cars. There was an old Discovery documentary on windshield manufacturing where it states that its a daunting task to create a curved windshield for modern cars than it is to create the relatively flat windshield for cars in the past.
