In regions like Latin America and India the safety standards are nowhere near where North America and Europe are at, and the local wings of Global NCAP are trying to change that.

With a Latin NCAP rating system from zero to five, this shocking footage shows a four-star Nissan Versa in a front three-quarter collision with a zero-star Nissan Tsuru. The latter’s A-pillar folds terrifyingly, with the interior footage showing just what an impact the driver’s face and body would sustain. Horrible.

After seeing the results, Nissan immediately withdrew the Tsuru from sale. You have to wonder how many lives that decision might ultimately save…

I don’t now what people expect from a 90s B13 sentra chassis. It is just an option you’re not obliged to buy it and yes these options are still offered in some parts of Latin America because of economical situations we need more accessible cars. We still receive the nissan versa but is much more expensive.
