While few details about this vehicle are given away, its purpose may be something to do with being a stand-in for all the big CGI robots, creating the necessary on-screen carnage they’ll inevitably create.

Transformers: The Last Knight (the fifth installment in the series, would you believe) is out on 23 June 2017. Expect many explosions.

Some respect for an original. Not an idea from F&F as so many think. Car movies were made before CGI when stunts had to really be done. Many of the younger generation may have never seen some of these older films though.
