Keonigsegg is due to release its latest model - the Agera XS - at Monterrey Car Week, its latest take on the existing RS chassis. The company has entered the American road car market for the first time and is using the Agera XS as its flagship model.

It’s essentially the Agera RS which uses a 5.0-litre V8, twin-turbocharged to 1341bhp. Along with the largest wing ever fitted to a Keonigsegg which can be fully actuated using hydraulics, the XS sits below the One:1 supercar and the insane electric Regera Hypercar.

Exclusively sold in ‘Karosserie orange’, the Swedish supercar also comes with a centre strip of carbon which runs the entire length of the car. All of this amounts to a price tag estimated to be over $2million, but if you’re in the market for a Keonigsegg, money probably isn’t an issue.

With an active front splitter, ride-height controls and carbon ceramic brakes, the Agera XS will blow any American muscle car into oblivion once launched in the States. Hitting 250mph in a staggering 20 seconds, it will sit above the Agera R and will be one of the highlights of the Pebble Beach event this week.

Look out for Car Throttle content coming from Monterrey over the next few days as this bespoke Keonigsegg may make an appearance.
