Fun Fact:
The 5th Gen Camaro was developed here in Australia because it shared the Zeta platform used by the Holden Commodore VE, and this project was worked on by my dad’s cousin :D

In my mind, where they are manufactured is a nonissue. To me, it depends on where it was designed and created. Of course, there are those that are neither designed or manufactured in the US so those wouldn’t qualify as American.
