Putting a lawnmower at the same level as an S2000 or a Civic Type R is a good way to upset a JDM fanboy.
2. When does V-Tec kick in?
Making sarcastic remarks about one of their favourite engine features is not the best way to start a friendship with a Japanese car lover.
3. All Japanese cars are rice
Just because there tends to be a number of wings on spoilers on Japanese cars doesn’t mean they’re riced - JDM car lovers will quickly defend themselves at such accusations.
4. Jokes like this:
Do not laugh at their engine’s size - they feel proud of extracting great performance, fuel efficiency and reliability from smaller engines, and besides, no one likes to hear they have a small anything…
5. When will you put tribals on your car?
For a proper JDM fanboy that works on the heart of his car instead of the body style it must be frustrating to have people assume they’re purely motivated by aesthetics.
6. The GTR is not the best car ever created
True or not, would you like to be told that your dream car isn’t the best in the world?
7. Walk up to their S2k and say: “Nice Miata, bro”
This is probably more annoying for the Honda owner, but either way, fans of both of these cars are borderline fanatical, so recognising their car for what it is will ensure no facepalms are endured.
8. Have you seen the new Datsuns?
It’s been Nissan for a while now! This joke has been around since Datsun died out in the 80s, so you’re not being original, either…
9. The Nissan GT-R drives by itself
In particular, our very own Neil Winn will hate to hear this one!

lol anyone that has any sense of cars will know their cars place in the car world. My dream car is the Viper GTS second gen. Adored Vipers since they came out in the 90s. I know its not the fastest car in the world. Im not a bandwagoner that automatically jumps to liking whatever the fastest car is at the time. I really dont care. It can still do over 200 mph but when will I get to actually reach that? probably never. Although the new ACR is blowing literally every other car out of the water now I know the Vipers place in the car world. My love for the Viper doesnt improve its stats any. It wont make it any faster around a track no matter how much I adore it. Some of these kids forget that and think their favorite car is the fastest car just because they want it to be. Sorry kiddos. Its still going to run the same times whether you love it or hate it.
Exactly. Like my dream car is a Mini. A goddamn Mini. In all honesty they’re pretty sh!t. I know they aren’t quick. I know they don’t beat world records in anything, they’re not forerunners in anything anymore, not even in fuel economy, but they are still cool cars. Have been since they came out in 1959.

When American makes fun of Japanese cars. Remember Detroit ? used to be a pretty busy city before you got Japanese cars in the U.S.
