It’s all about acceleration. Lambos are set up primarily for handling, secondary is top speed and tertial is acceleration. Muscle cars are focussed on acceleration, then handling cause they usually get their top speed by adding a very high gear that drops acceleration at high speeds yet increases the theoretical top speed.
If your talking about the Shelby yes it did it was also the first “production” car to reach 200 mph (this definition of production being a specified number made per year)
