A few years back I wondered what BBC would do when Clarkson enevitably retired. I knew Top Gear was relaunched around 2002 and it ended up being the best show. I couldn’t imagine any other presenters with the same natural chemistry. The new line up is full of experts. They should have looked for enthusiasts that already had some chemistry. Like Marty and Moog from Mighty Car Mods

In all honesty, I’m more excited about new Top Gear than Amazon ‘Top Gear’. These new presenters will totally shake up car TV and the diversity of characters is a genius move! Clarkson and co will remain Clarkson and co, so we know what we’re getting already (albeit it bigger and better), but THIS? This is unchartered territory, and I can’t bloody wait!

Edit: (It’s a joke people.)

Will wait to the second season to see who sticks around and who leaves and judge from that point on wards rather than judging on the first season. These things take time to gel together well.

Totally agree, I’m excited for a new show taking a fresh look at how to produce great car content. There are some great people involved no matter what people say. I think the real risk is with hammond may and Clarkson to create something people still want to watch. A lot of people had got slightly fed up with the deliberately fake approach they were taking
Any new car show is a good thing to me though! Bring it on
