The A'PEXi A450 is a skyline with an identity crisis.

Ever looked at an R32 GTR and thought ‘’That would look nice with Honda bodywork.’’? Me neither, but the japanese tuner A’PEXi did, and they proceeded to do so when making the A’PEXi A450,made to compete with the HKS Zero-R.

The A450 was A’PEXi’s attempt at emulating Alpina, AMG etc by introducing its own turnkey car. The car was equipped with lots of A’PEXi goodies. Every panel except the roof and doors was modified. The most drastic changes coming from the front and rear. The front looks to have styling cues from a Honda Integra and the rear has just borrowed the lights off a Honda Legend. As well as the exterior receiving changes the rest of the car was heavily modified.

The engine was a single turbo RB26 engine packing a solid 450 horsepower (hence the name) and it was obviously tuned by A’PEXi, duh.
The price, just like everything else about this car, was ridiculous. Almost twice the price of a V-spec R32 GTR, because of this (and probably many other factors too) only three were ever made. Depending on who you ask, that is either great news, or terrible news.

I feel like people either love it or hate it, I personally love it, but hell, I even like the Autech Stelvio Zagato(which I made a blog post about, click here to see that). The thing about these kind of cars though is, I dont think they’re beautiful, I dont think they looks good, however, I would take this one in a heartbeat if I had to choose between this and a standard R32 GTR.

Call me blind all you want, but it just has loads of character. A rare japanese car that almost nobody has heard of with 450 hp and special looks and is based on the GTR, just the thought of that oozes with coolness.
I have this weird taste of cars that I cant really explain. For example, I love the new prius, and the looks of the Pontiac Aztec dont bother me.

But hey, that’s just me. What’s your thoughts on the A’PEXi A450? Do you love it? Do you hate it? let me know in the comments!

Apart from the grill in the middle i like it.
I also like factory tuned cars even when they come up with something like this.

If it had a different set of headlights, it would be kinda cool.

To be honest, apart from the strange grille, I think it actually looks quite nice.
Also, I spy the Z32 front indicators.
