If you want a stupidly rare Aston, it doesn’t get much better than this. Yep, it’s James Bond’s very own DB10, one of only 10 ever built. It’s also one of only two that weren’t modified for the filming of Spectre - the 24th Bond film - and the only one that’ll ever be available for private ownership. The cherry on the cake? A signature from Daniel Craig.

This isn’t just some film prop, either: the DB10 will end up being an important part of Aston Martin’s history, as it serves as a preview for the company’s future style direction.

That’s why it looks like quite a departure from the Astons we’ve gotten used to seeing over the last few years, but what’s under the car’s carbonfibre skin is a little more familiar. There’s a modified version of the Vantage’s VH platform with a stretched wheelbase, and under the bonnet it’s packing the Vantage’s 4.7-litre V8, hooked up to a six-speed manual gearbox.

All sounds jolly lovely, but there are a couple of things to bear in mind. Firstly, it’s not cheap. It’s due to be auctioned on 18 February at Christie’s in London (with proceeds going to humanitarian aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières), and the estimate is “over” £1 million. Secondly, you won’t actually be able to drive it on the road because according to the press release, “the car is not homologated, certified or approved for use on any public roads and has not undergone the testing processes used for production cars.” Boo.
