The 9 Most Awesome Pieces Of Content By CTzens This Week

Welcome to the second ever ‘Hottest CTzen Content Of The Week’ roundup, in which we highlight some of our favourite blogs and features created by you guys. In case you didn’t know, our new post creator allows anyone here to create cool written content that gets noticed on the platform and Facebook, and that gets rewarded in roundups like this!

So without further ado, here were our highlights from last week…

Earlier this week we held our first ever workshop, with manufacturers, agencies and aspiring journalists (among many, many others) turning up to hear us talk about social media and creating content in modern publishing. It was a great night, with one attendee coming away and creating a great blog about what they’d learnt. Check out the post for Fast Drives‘ most important take aways from the talk.

We love it when you guys share a bit of knowledge with us, so this post from Edward Lopez was sure to be a hit. The post goes into detail about the cars, their engines and drivetrains, and what to buy.

This week we finally got to see the Devel Sixteen’s engine working, and while it would appear that the Dubai-based company’s claims about its power output are accurate, it remains to be seen whether the car can actually put its power down. That was part of the basis for another great post by Boosted Boris, who doesn’t have much faith in the hypercar’s chances of being successful.

Our very own Jake Orr has just bought himself a winter beater in the shape of a $900 Crown Victoria ex-cop car. It’s a big boat, with a lazy engine and rear-wheel drive for snow-based drift tomfoolery. Check out the other reasons why Jake reckons this makes a brilliant beater.

There’s not much most petrolheads don’t know about the GT-R family of Skylines, but Skyrine Dom owns something far more intriguing and quirky from the Skyline family. His R31 has that wonderfully boxy 80s styling, with a 3.0-litre engine built specifically for the Australian market. Look at his post to find out more about the Skyline you probably don’t know much about.

When you buy a WRX, the question you’ll probably face more than any other is “why didn’t you buy an STI?” WRX owner Melons put together a list about why he picked this car.

Everyone loves a hot hatch, so it’s no surprise that Simonsebera‘s roundup of the greatest hot hatches of the 90s turned out to be one of the most popular UGC posts (user-generated content) this week. Great photos, loads of stats, and the odd bit of opinion went down well with you guys, who popped up with more suggestions in the comments!

Ask any petrolhead, and they’ll probably tell you that rear-wheel drive is the only way to go. For those of us with open minds, though, we know that’s not strictly true. PerformanceandLuxury has put together a great argument for why you should give front-wheel drive the time of day it deserves.

Britain and America have had a tense relationship, and silly old Donald Trump hasn’t exactly helped matters in recent weeks. Fear not, however, as Ben Anderson is here to help fix relations by offering up reasons why he loves American muscle.
