Make sure you have a box of tissues handy - Turn 10 has just revealed its final update for Forza Motorsport 7. As a parting gift, the August update - which was made available to download on Tuesday - includes the first free FM7 car we’ve seen in a while.

It’s a cracker, too - the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The turnkey racing version of the GT4 road car we enjoyed driving recently, this Cayman confusingly features the 3.8-litre N/A flat-six of the old car rather than the 4.0-litre lump of the new. It develops 425bhp, powering a mid-engined coupe which is lightened using various means including panels made from agricultural by-products like hemp. Yes, really.

Also included in the update is a new disqualification system, following on from July’s new collision-based penalties. If you get to 10 seconds, you’ll be put in a ‘Probation’ mode as a warning. Accrue 12 seconds of penalties in one race, and you’re out - players will be kicked back to the Hopper Select screen. From there, you will be able to matchmake for another race.

The final piece of the puzzle is an updated ‘mini leaderboard’. No longer will it display gaps between cars as feet - instead, this will be displayed (as it probably always should have been) as time.

Time to get updating!
