Here’s How F1 Teams Ship Their Equipment Around The World
Formula 1 teams have stuff. Lots of stuff. It’s more than just the cars that have to travel from race to race - there are the spare parts, the garage equipment, the computing systems, the enormous motorhomes and plenty more to deal with, too.
Dismantling it all, packing it away, going to the next race and getting it all set up again is a massive operation, especially when races are held on consecutive weekends. From the relatively straightforward method of bundling it all on lorries for European rounds, to the months of planning and preparation required for the ‘flyaway’ races in Asia and the Americas, this video from Wendover Productions does a brilliant job of explaining the logistical challenge that goes into transporting Formula 1 around the world.
