The best guide on how to install Sparco Mudflaps

I recently purchased two sets of Sparco Mudflaps, the only issue, there is no guide on how to install them! So fear no more that guide is here!

Step 1 Back Flap

Step 1) First you need to figure out how high off the ground you want your flaps, in my case I went with about 5 inches. So to support this I put a 2x4 on its side and another one flat. Then, for the back flaps either have someone else hold the flap or tape it up to the inside of the wheels well. (Be sure to dry the wheel well or tape won’t hold)
Also as a side note, The side that slants up is to face the outside and be sure to remove the wheel of the fender you are working on for easier access.

Step 2 Back Flap

Step 2) Now that you have determined how high you want your flaps you must drill into the fender. I used a 1/4 drill bit and went right through both. To secure the flap I used Push in rivets (the same ones you find all over your car now-a-days) and purchased them from Autozone for about $3 for 6.

Step 3

Step 3) Repeat step 2 as many times as you would like to create as much hold as you feel necessary. I used 4 in my back fenders. Always drilling into solid plastic to allow the rivets to get a good hold.

Step 1 Front Flap

Step 1 Front Mudflap) For the front mudflap, you need to remove all of the push in rivets with a screw driver. in my case there was one extra with a large bracket behind it.

Step 2 Front Mudflap) Now once you figure out how high this flap should be and the wheel and rivets are removed, take a few screwdriver and push them through the flap into the holes behind them. this allows for a much easier installation. I would recommend having a knife to trim excess away to make a better fit.

Step 3 Front Flap

Step 3 Front Mudflap) Finally take the rivets that came from the wheel well and re-install them back into the fender. Again feel free to add as many others as you feel necessary, being sure to drill into solid plastic.

I hope this guide helps you in your journey to install Sparco Mudflaps onto your car.
Best of luck!

From what I’ve noticed Sparco instructions are either terrible or none existent, haha. I’m gonna have to take my 318i to a friend because Sparco sent no directions on the correct wiring and wires for the horn button on the steering wheel.
