Rules :
Engine Swaps are allowed.
Forced induction is allowed.
Aerodynamic Mods are allowed.
Car must be road legal in the USA.
The Geo Metro must be kept FWD.
The track is Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
(The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR holds the current production car lap record with 1:28.65.)

Rust because free weight reduction and some good tires and and the remaining money for hiring a race car driver.
LS swap it and remove steering wheel for weight reduction.
There will so much torque steer that the gas pedal will be my steering wheel.
Why not the 1.0 Ecoboost from the Fiesta?
Drivetrain from a mid 2000’s VW Golf GTI, tires and wheels, brakes and weight reduction, replace the worn out suspension with stock stufd because the other mods chewed up most of the budget

The geo metro is the same thing as the Subaru Justy (the one from the 90’s), just trade it in. Get yourself a nice motor from the Seat Cordoba Cupra (mk2), so thats 3000, basicly a motor that won WRC idk the year and then the 2000 spend on aerodynamichs and wheels
The Justy is AWD… otherwise almost the same as the Metro and the Suzuki Swift … so why trade it in?
Naturally Aspirated B20 strip the car to get max weight reduction with after market falken tires and some light rims from ebay
Put a bike engine in it, strip everything out of the car that is not pure essential. good suspension and tires.
