Can someone tell me the difference between a resonated and non-resonated exhaust

A non resonated exhaust is an exhaust without a resonator/silencer
A resonator is there to remove drone. A muffler or silencer does what it says in the tin. So if you remove the resonators but leave the muffler it will drone but not be loud. If you leave the resonator but leave the muffler it will be loud with out too much drone.
