You’ll save a lot more time by perfecting your line. There’s a lot more time to be made there than by braking slightly later.

Learning braking comes after you’ve got a good sense of the line. Also, you can’t can’t have a proper and efficient line if you can’t put the car there due to your lack of braking abilities. All in all, underestimating the power of braking is being naive. Although a bit counterintuitive at first, sometimes you need to go slower in order to be fast.

Time to learn braking is what pobst was thinking after he crashed that gtr

Braking was not the issue when he crashed the Gtr, but rather being oblivious to the corner and not setting up for it at all. He flew right off the road.
