How to rack up bounty easily in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)

If you have never played Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), I urge you to play it. It is an amazing game with good graphics, great physics and an amazing story line with awesome cars and if you get the Black edition you get an E46 BMW M3. But increasing bounty is hard work because you have to get in chases and each chase gets progressively harder as cops increase, cop car health increases, and it just gets harder and harder per each Heat Level increase. And because of that, people have discovered away to rack up bounty easily and today I am going to bring it to Car Throttle.

1. Select your ride.

2. The right bounty location

This is the best bounty location to go to because it is very close to where we want to go. Like you can see it on the map preview close. You can get there in the safe house menu or you can access by pressing “B” on your keyboard and it will bring up the Blacklist menu in free roam.

3. Select that Pursuit Breaker

This is the pursuit breaker which is closest to our destination, which is the bus terminal. You can get this map when you are in a chase and you press”M” on your keyboard which brings up the map. Below the pursuit breaker icon, you see a huge patch of grey, that is where we want to head into.

5. Select that ramp

Once you get into the bus terminal and go inside and you see these 2 ramps, it is very important to get on the ramp on the right because the trick won’t work on the left ramp. You physically cannot go back in, there is a ledge you cannot climb over.

7. Go to the end of the ledge on the right ramp and AFK

My game crashed here so you will see a Porsche Cayman which I took from Baron in the next pictures. Now the cops AI is a little weird and will try to go to your XYZ coordinates. This ledge allow you and cops to go under it. So if you are on the top of the ledge, the cops will go to your XYZ coordinates, Now with this, cops can get to your XZ coordinates but not your Y. They think that this is where you are when in reality you are above them and you can see them fail spectacularly. You can also leave the game running and you can do whatever as long the game is running. Eat some pizza, watch a movie, do some errands. When you come back, there will be a bunch of bounty. Just make sure that no one touches the keyboard. You cannot use a lowered STI because if you edge a little too far of the edge you will get stuck because the body kit catches on something. You can reset the car by pressing “R” but you may re-spawn on the ground and you will be screwed.

8. How to evade the cops

Now once you think you have enough bounty how are you supposed to escape the cops. Where the arrow is pointing to, there is a blind spot. The cops cannot see you most of the time and if they do they cannot get up there and if they get up the ram they will fall off the end because they went to fast.So reverse as fast as you can with out falling off or spinning out and go to the center of the railing and get as close as you can. And then you wait. It takes some time because it is not an actual cool down zone but it works well.

Now you know how to rack up major bounty quickly. Once you are done you will have a high heat level, the best way to get rid off a high heat level is to change your paint color. Your heat will decrease an entire heat level or so. This will work on PC or console. But PC is best and the game will run on almost anything, but it is single threaded so having a higher clock rate will help. Happy gaming CTzens.

Ah, the bus station glitch.
Its really only neccessary for heats 4 and 5 as lower heats are very slow in giving bounty.

Not really, bounty comes every ten seconds. it starts as 100, 500, 1000, 5000 and so on

M8 i swear everyone who played that game knows this glitch.I used to do it to advance the Blacklist but not anymore. It’s a much slower way to make bounty,a problem which can be solved by crashing straight into everything that moves, which is also more satisfying

What i do is drive on the freeway around rosewood, you van drive fast and the when there is a roadblock you just destroy a car. And when you want to escape you just go around some pursuit breakers and lose them. Easy

That really is the only way. The stadium is perfect for this. It features two Pursuit Breakers ànd a Cooldown hiding spot. I lose most Level 5 pursuits out there.

Best chase car is a fully Junkman modded Audi A4.

It’s heavy and front engined, so it’s stable and great for ramming through stuff.

Once you get on the higher levels and you get boxed in the AWD traction will get you out of a sticky situation quickly, without wheelspin.
It also helps build speed quickly for close quarters battles, making ramming from a standstill easier.

A normal fully modded A4 will do just fine as well.

I’d recommend a Junkman Evo 8.Or Carrera GT or even a Mustang GT.I set overall pursuit records in each of those cars

Well sure its possible, but I just like the instant traction you get with an AWD car. Too often I’ve had my car fishtail just a bit too long while I was cornered, which got me busted.

I used a fully Junkman Fiat Punto once, and it was hilarious. As fast as a maxed out Gallardo and incredibly light and nimble. And it did J-turns around the cops all day long with the FWD layout.
