A word on the last generation Thunderbird.

It always seems the later Thunderbirds don’t get properly appreciated. Especially the last generation which really deserves some respect in our opinion. With a 3.9L V8 and 252hp it’s a decently powerful car, and it got even better in 2003 when it got bumped to 280hp. So why isn’t the last gen T-Bird loved as much as the first and second generation cars from the 50’s and 60’s? Their retro styling is simple and striking. It still sort of looks like a concept car; with the large chrome wheels and it’s sharp yet smooth lines, keeps it looking quite modern even today. Seriously, throw some LED daytime running lights to wrap around the headlights and tail-lights, give it some moar low, and I’d still believe it’s new. Wouldn’t you? We think the last gen bird deserves more respect than it gets. Our example comes with a nice hardtop as well. Check it out more here: https://www.idealclassiccars.net/2002-ford-thunderbird-c-254.htm

I just dislike retro styling in general, trying to emulate 50’s and 60’s car design just doesn’t work when you have NCAP breathing down your neck. This car just looks ungainly with its fat “5-star safety rating” front bumper, oversized A-pillars, lack of real chrome and acres of plastic!

I think theyd be awesome, if the styling didnt look THAT retro…. they just tried to recreate the late 50s one. But the v8 and rwd was a nice touch. Just a missed opertunity imo

I’d love to park one of these next to my Challenger for open top cruising.
