Range Rover Velar vs Jaguar F-Pace

The Range Rover Velar that was revealed this week shares much of its structure and its engines with the Jaguar F-Pace. As a result their silhouettes are fairly similar. The F-Pace starts at £35k with the Velar costing an extra £10k. To get the 380ps V6 petrol the F-Pace would cost from £53k, which is £17k less than the Velar.

Inside is where the cars start to differ a bit more.

Below is a bit of mash up of both cars. No Photoshop required - the cars are so similar I literally just dropped one image over the other!

Obviously the Velar is meant to be more luxurious, but is it worth the extra cash over the F-Pace? Which is the better looking car?

The landy looks better I think, but I prefer jag interiors, even though it’s probably less luxurious. Hate the wheels on both to be fair. They need some more aggressive looking things to match the rest of the design

I’d much rather have the Range Rover. I buy a Jaguar because I want to throw it down a country road and look good doing it. If I want to go offroad, I buy a Range Rover.
