This Need For Speed Drift Build And Gameplay Footage Will Blow Your Mind

So here it is, the moment you’ve been waiting for: The first Need For Speed direct gameplay footage. GTAWiseGuy got his hands on an early copy of the game and has put together a video showing off the visual customisation and new handling model, as well as in-game racing footage.

Watching this footage, the one thing that really stood out was just how dark it is. This could be in part due to YouTube’s compression stripping a little quality, the fact it’s not in 1080p, or because it’s an early build the 180SX’s reflections haven’t quite been finalised - the Porsche 911 footage looks a lot crisper. I had a brief chat with GTAWiseGuy, who mentioned that he’d been shown footage of a later build that looked "much, much better!" That corresponds with footage I was sent following my trip to Ghost Games in Sweden earlier this year, which looked almost photo realistic. If they can make it look like that on release, we’re in for a treat.
