This Monster Crash Just Happened In Japanese GP Qualifying

Daniil Kvyat was driving in the final part of F1 Japanese Grand Prix qualifying at Suzuka when he lost control of his Red Bull, went off and hit the wall hard

Kvyat was on his first quick lap in the third segment of Japanese Grand Prix qualifying. He clipped the grass just prior to a flat-out right-hand kink, went off, hit the wall and rolled his car.

Fortunately he was okay. The crash brought out the red flag, which denied other drivers from improving their times. Nico Rosberg started from pole position for Mercedes, from team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

We already saw plenty of drama at the iconic Suzuka circuit in Friday practice, which took place in wet and tricky conditions.
