As we explained recently, the Renault 5 Turbo is kind of a big deal. That's what makes this abomination we've found on Ebay a prime candidate for our latest Sacrilege Sunday. Yes, it's the GT Turbo and not the mid-engine, rear-wheel drive Group B homologation legend, but it's still an utterly cool car from Renault's history that deserves better.

Let's be clear, modifying a retro car like this can be done well, despite what the purists say. But chameleon flip paint, a vulgar bodykit and 17-inch purple alloys? No, just NO. The price has disappeared from the recently-expired advert, but amusingly, it did receive one offer of £50.

There are also a few under-bonnet mods, which would be fine by us had there been tasteful exterior changes to suit. But this thing ain't tasteful. It did apparently win '1st place at Hull Motor Show August 2013.' We're not told what category this '1st place' was in, but we're guessing it was Worst Modified Car...
