Classic Mini switch, what does this do?

Hey! As some might know, I own a classic Austin Mini that was restored to be a Cooper.
Everything works, except from this switch. I don’t even know what it would do, can’t find the name for it either.
I thought it had something to do with the pedals, maybe a light or something.

It’s a Brake test switch. When the brake fluid drops to low a red light will come on telling you to pull over. Pushing this button tests the circuit for the warning light.

Okay, thank you! I’ve got two of them, but probably the other one has a different meaning (made by previous owner).
Would have never guessed that!
