Special Edition Mk2 Focus RS500 in Nardo Grey - This or the Mk3?

One of only 101 in Great Britain, this special-edition Mk2 Focus RS500 has been wrapped in Nardo Grey. Fitted with a turbocharged 2.5 litre 5 pot producing 345bhp, the sprint to 62mph is dismissed in a hasty 5.4 seconds! Impressive, however given that the upcoming ‘standard’ Mk3 has the same output coupled with an all new 4WD system, it raises the question; which one would you go for?

I personally can’t wait to see what a Mk3 RS500 would look like (should it ever come into existence), but given the choice, I don’t think I could turn down the Mk2 - Just look at it!

I would take the RS500 because it only raises in value, that is for sure if you say that this is a special edition of a special edition. But you have to keep it untouched which isn’t the tbig problem with that amount of POWAAA I think. I personally would take the MK3 RS though: Besides it’s AWD and othet new things, I’m out for the huge amount of aftermarket parts, due to the brotherhood with the Mustang. It would make a real beater. But as I said: If I were you, I would take the grey mouse. You could sell it with profit one day and then buy the all new RS500 in Nardo grey, maybe.
