Moose vs Volvo XC90 aftermath

So 3 days ago my dad hit a moose in his XC90 (and yes I was also in the car).
Was going about 70 km/h, then it jumped down from a small hill next to the road. My dad slammed the brakes and steered to the left so the moose luckily hit the side of the car so it didn’t come through the windshield.
The road was carved through a hill, so there was an about 2m high cliff face on either side of the road. Hope that was explained well enough.

Could have been worse. Moose survived but got a cut in its side.

And I thought mule deer were bad to hit.

It would have hit straight on if my dad wouldn’t have swerved to the left

Thank goodness nobody was killed/seriously injured, hope the XC90 gets fixed (due to me being a fellow owner)

Thanks mate.
Yeah I’m also happy about that (obviously) since me and my family, even dog was in it.
XC90 is getting repaired as we speak, my dad drove it to a shop. And nothing except bodywork broke btw.
You have a good choice of car mate 👍

Goddamn, a MOOSE did only that. Solid proof to back up Volvo’s reputation for being road tanks, wow
