Nowhere near hyperrealistic, they should have had Darko Iker or the other guy who posts his drawings here (can’t remember his name) do it for them. I’m being completely serious, they are actually way better than this.

That didn’t reveal anything in the slightest. Is Mercedes playing things so close to the chest on purpose? Something about their whole media campaign this past week seems off to me.

I think they are just building up the hype before the first pictures are revealed tomorrow and the car is officially uncovered on day one of testing. It’s all to build up suspense, tease the fans, not show too much but still give them glimpses.

It may not be the best, but it is still pretty good, right?

Since it´s apparently a copied photograph (or render) there´s no real art in it and it´s just a skill. (like; not bending nails when hammering them into something or being able to make a straight cut with a knife) It sure took a while to learn but there are mistakes in perspective (which are casually overlooked in drawings like this) and it generally could be better. (but this technique doesn´t really allow to find or fix your mistakes because you always concentrate on the part you´re drawing). I don´t mean to insult anyone but in the past copying/enlarging/restoring photoraphs was what bad artists did for living. That´s why there are so many “hyperrealists” on facebook who don´t even bother to learn perspective or draw reflections actually reflecting what they drew ten minutes ago. So yea it´s good, but it´s not pretty good. That´s my critique.

Was it really too much effort to show a damn picture?

They spent all of their money building the car and now can’t afford a camera

I am no Mercedes fan, but that is pretty fantastic stuff right there.

How is this a reveal?! It shows pretty much no new elements of the car, except for maybe the Coke bottle and the livery.
