Has anyone turbo charged a 206 1.4 petrol 8V? How can you do it? How much does it cost? Will it blow up my engine?

i was thinking about it with my TU1 because its got an iron block as opposed to alloy so the block should be a bit stronger. whether the piston and rod can hold up to the extra pressure or not, i dont know
Ok
You’ll probably be fine running it but really i would buy the 1.6 16v cause that will have more power than a turbo 1.4 8v outright the if you still want to turbo it you could probably get up to the 140-150 reigon thats what im planning to do
They do make this kit which fits both 1.4 and 1.6 in 8v and 16v
Thank you I am running a complete tuned engine with 1.6 VTR internals and much more, I am running 115bhp at the moment
I would save the money and buy a GTi to be honest pal, and then if you want to turbo that then feel free. My mate Ryan Edwards has a 606whp 206GTi 180 and its a flippin monster.
That’s should really cool thank you
In my opinion you shouldn’t invest on a 8v engine, that will not give you the power you need even when fully tuned. Go for a 1.6 16v or even the 2.0 of the RC, the difference you pay more for this engines will compensate in the future performance tuning. You can get 450BHP from a 1.6 16v (Diamantis made it) on a 780Kg chassis. The RC is not so tuner friendly because it’s already the top PSA engine from our Gen so you can’t improve as much as you would like but the power is still there and is GOOD hahaha
