Different bodykit styles and their origins. Sort of a blog post
In this sort of a blog post I will show you some of the most famous bodykit styles from the early 2000s and where they originally originated.
1. Shogun style or whatever you want to call it
This is probably the most replicated body kit style since this style has found its way to so many cars including Ford Mustangs, Honda Civics, Citroen Saxos etc. This kit was originally made by VeilSide in the early/ mid 1990s with their Combat kit for the A80 Supra
This kit has since been replicated by so many companies including VIS Racing, Erebuni, Extreme Dimensions and many more. VeilSide has done this type of kit for many other cars for example Nissan Skyline, Toyota MR2 and BMW Z3
2. Blitz style
This kit was originally made by Blitz for the Toyota Supra and this kit is also a very replicated kit. This kit is usually seen on Mitsubishi Eclipses, Toyota Supras, and some Hondas.
I’m pretty sure that this kit became even more famous thanks to The Fast and the Furious and the green Eclipse in the movie.
3. R33 Omega style
You might think that this front bumper looks like a Nissan Skyline R33 front bumper and you’re right. I’m not absolutely sure on where this kit came from but my biggest guess would be Non Fujita’s Nissan Silvia S14 with its custom made bodykit
4. R34 Octane style
This kit has taken quite a lots of inspiration of the Impul Nissan Skyline GT-T bodykit. Is it just a replica of that kit? Possibly. I’m not totally sure but if I had to guess the originality of that kit, I would guess the Impul Skyline
5. Showoff style
This bodykit style was originally started by Bomex with their kit for some cars since there are many cars with Bomex kits that look like that and since that these types of kits have been seen in many cars.
The end! Would you like to see a 2nd part? If you do, what would you like me to improve?
