Sounds like a BMW problem. Toyota builds many of their cars here their build quality is top notch.
The BMW Z4s and all the other X Cars are excellent. Also, I’m assuming your British so you can’t say anything about build quality.

Not surprised that the Toyota trucks are built in the US, considering they officially aren’t available anywhere else I don’t think.
Yota trucks are available here, but I think they’re imported from the USA.

Yep, whether it’s an Acura or a Honda it’ll be made in the US. Much of the chassis development happened Stateside too
I live like an hour and a half from the plant.
Due to globalisation and standardisation, a car can be built anywhere and it will come out the same, as policy and technology can be replicated anywhere around the world.
The Passat is as german as Sauerkraut and Wiener Schnitzel? So it’s half austrian?
It’s not the same Passat. US Passat version is a total different car compared to the euro B8. US version is much less refined, and cheaper to build.
