My new, modded, Fn2 CTR

Became the proud owner of this lovely Fn2 CTR with a list of mods as long as my arm, a far cry from the Clio 197 I had before and I’m loving it!
Modifications:
Honda GP kit, front and rear
Miltek exhaust
Eibach springs with fast road setup
Stoptech Big Brake Kit
GruppeM air intake
RRC inlet manifold
Mugen throttle body
FD2 cams fitted
TDi/XO header
Engine mounts
Mfactory diff
Mfactory final drive
Clockwise Motion lightweight flywheel
Exedy stage 1 clutch
Team Dynamic gloss black alloys in Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres
Mugen grill
Skunk2 gear knob

Only a small update, picked up a carbon plug cover to replace the factory plastic one, more carbon the better! Just waiting on my carbon mugen wing to be painted before that can go on too… Also a recent dyno/tuning session sees 247bhp at the flywheel and 170lb/ft torque. Starting to price up some more engine work to see if I can squeeze some more out it, even though it’s already one of the best cars I’ve driven, certainly upset some of the ‘better’ cars around the area with just how quick it actually is!

Tom, what country do you reside in?
And if I may ask, who are you getting to tune your fn2 Type R via Hondata?
I am asking, cause we can do a Tune and send it via Email!!

It will be a back and fourth transaction, as we will change and progress tune… You will have to load map and then do a “Data Log”

Then mail me that log. Then we look at log and see how the car is responding, we look for knocks or any unhealthy engine actions..

We edit tune, make it. More aggressive and then mail you again..
You will load map and data log again……

We do this process about 4Times…..

To ensure that with having your engine perform amazingly and giving you the performance which it is able to …… It is at the same time healthy!!!!!!! So you do not need to think twice or second guess reliability or anything getting damaged…..
And at the same time….. Have a fn2 that really pulls other cars hard on the streets…

Not sure who im going to get it tuned by next, will depend on what mods i do next. I am debating swapping the hondata for something else with a few more options and a bit more scope and flexibility cause i am debating going for itb’s to replace the fd2 throttle body and manifold. Oh, and i live in the uk. If i do keep the hondata i might take you up on the offer of swapping the tune back and forth

Budd…. PLEASE Try us…….. I bet you we wil have your car flying.
Itbs are pricey…. What altitude are you? High above sea level with the oxygen deprived air?

What mods do you currently have on your fn2?

Or if it is the same mods as mentioned……

We will get your car moving!!!!

I only have header, exhaust, software, intake and lightweight flywheel and i give turbo cars beat downs….

No matter what physical mods you put in /on your fn2, you will need Hondata, well, hondata is the most in depth and versatile software for these k20 engines…..

Do you know a lot of fn2 guys there where you stay?

I can see what price, absolutely good price i can offer you, then in return, all I ask is to share with ppl who wrote your hondata map…

? One more question, how much do the guys there in the UK charge for a Tune? +- 300 pounds?

Have an awesome day, till we speak again. Peace..

I live right at sea level so ideal for itb’s which is one of the reasons im consodering them, that and its not something thats done a huge amount on the fn2. In my group theres only myself with an fn2, we all drive pretty different cars which is fun when it comes to comparing them. As for the price of tuning it varies, but usually around 300ish at the highest, unless theres lots of changes to the car
